I stopped by Harriman on my way for a stay in Island Park at Sawtelle Moutain Resort and just hiking through this park in the Island Park Valley was a refreshing and breathtaking experience. Listening to the wildlife as I enjoyed the streams and the lakes was an awesome experience without the crowds of Yellowstone. It was my own private Idaho and with all the beauty and tranquility of the Yellowstone National Park area.
It was an easy drive from the south side of Island Park where the Harriman park entrance is to Sawtelle's cabins. Awesome trip, awesome park, awesome cabins. Island Park is one of Idaho's best kept secrets!
